Beautiful Cyanotype printed floral bandana made by myself, Rachele Bowden. I used florals recycled / salvaged from weddings I worked as a caterer. These flowers would have ended up in the trash, but they got a second life through this craft. I also try to use second hand or upcycled clothing and linens as much as possible.
This is not an upcycled piece. This was a purchased white cotton bandana.
This piece contains images of delphinium, lavender, orchids, lisianthus, renunculus, spider mums, and anemone flowers.
NOTE: Cyanotype is a natural dying process and can colors can bleed or stain, and fade over time. To prevent fading, do NOT expose pieces to a lot of direct sunlight for long periods of time, and follow the care instructions included the care sheet. They have been washed once after dying.
