Beautiful Cyanotype Printed Floral printed set of vintage napkins, made by myself, Rachele Bowden. I used florals recycled / salvaged from weddings I worked as a caterer. These flowers would have ended up in the trash, but they got a second life through this craft. I also try to use second hand or upcycled clothing and linens as much as possible.
This set of 2 vintage cotton napkins have been upcycled, and acquired second hand. They are made of a woven white cotton, and have a surged, scalloped edge. The napkins have a small wildflower embroidered in a corner, but it Iran’s as noticeable after dying.
This piece uses pressed delphiniums, larkspur, limonium, ranunculus, lisianthus, and butterfly ranunculus flowers
NOTE: Cyanotype is a natural dying process and can colors can bleed or stain, and fade over time. To prevent fading, do NOT expose pieces to a lot of direct sunlight for long periods of time, and follow the care instructions included the care sheet. They have been washed once after dying.
